1. No error in a ruling on the trial may be reviewed on appeal from a judgment if appellant did not take an exception on the trial or include such in a motion for new trial. This applies whether the trial be had to the jury or the court. A judgment will not be reversed on appeal unless the record affirmatively shows material error.
